It’s nice to meet you! Just to give you a bit of background about me, I have been a CPA since 2008, after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Master of Accountancy (Go Vols!). I worked with a local CPA firm for several years, and in September 2012 I decided to take the leap and start my own practice.
If you see my office, it won’t take you long to know that I love antiques, old books, and my fur-babies. But I also find great joy in helping my clients better understand their taxes and overall financial situations, as well as in problem-solving through complex accounting transactions. I believe that being a CPA not only requires staying up-to-date on the constantly changing laws and filing requirements, but also just as importantly, involves developing relationships. This entails listening to clients’ goals, successes and challenges, and communicating clearly so they know that their taxes are filed accurately using sound strategies to minimize their overall tax liability.
So whether you are a new parent trying to figure out how to claim the child tax credit for the first time, an accomplished business owner planning for retirement, a recent widow faced with handling finances on your own, or at any stage in between, I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you!
